Tamil Nadu doesnot use Rapid Antigen DiagnosticTests (RADT). There may be a difference in number of sample tested given here in the media bulletin and the ICMR portal in view of time-lag between test conducted, results declared that are shared in real time basis by the labs to the state and the districts and the time taken for the data updation in the ICMR portal. WGS is done to identify SARS-CoV-2 variants as a part of ongoing surveillance only on a sample of cases as per INSACOG guidelines and these results will be shared separately from time to time as and when updated, as these results are not expected on day to day basis.
